The Academic Foundations Workshop helps incoming McQuaid students develop their math, reading, and writing skills in anticipation of a successful high school career. Through summer classes with veteran McQuaid faculty members, our goal is to help students transition successfully to the demands of a college preparatory high school curriculum. Contact Mr. Dan Hershel, Dean of Academics, for more information.
The best way to tell your story to a college admissions officer is through a well-written essay. Veteran members of the McQuaid Jesuit English department guide rising seniors in this focused college essay writing seminar, at the conclusion of which students will have a well-developed essay for their use on the Common Application. Each seminar is limited to 15 students. Please use the online form at the bottom of this page to register. While preference is given to students of McQuaid Jesuit and Our Lady of Mercy, all students are welcome to sign up.
For questions regarding registration, please contact Mrs. Amy Sheffer. For questions regarding this course, please contact either instructor.
