Tyler Ellis, ’06 – President

Tyler joined the board in 2016. He is a business and real estate attorney at Morgenstern DeVoesick PLLC. Tyler and his wife, Ashlee, have one son, Theo.

Why he’s on the board: I’m on the board to continue to grow the bonds formed at McQuaid and give back to the community with fellow Knights.

Favorite McQuaid memory: The Simba Society at sporting events.

Andrew Pluta, ’03 

An inaugural member, Andrew has served on the board since July 2015. He was named the board’s vice-president in 2015 and was re-elected for a second term in 2017. Andrew is an independent consultant.

 

Nate Borer, ’07

An inaugural member, Nate has served on the board since July 2015. He is a product design engineer for Delphi Automotive.

Why he’s on the board: I’ve experienced excellent alumni involvement in the Fraternity world; after moving back to Rochester, I wanted to bring the same to McQuaid.

Favorite McQuaid memory: 3D Art with Greg Lendeck and Shakespearean insults in English class with Peter Fleche.

Joe Doyle, ’02 

An inaugural member, Joe has served on the board since July 2015. He was named the board’s president in 2015 and was re-elected for a second term in 2017. Joe is an attorney in the Office of Counsel at the University of Rochester.

Why he’s on the board: I’m on the board to grow and form new friendships in the McQuaid community, and to support the school that had such an instrumental role in helping me become the person I am today.

Favorite McQuaid memory: McQuaid vs Aquinas basketball senior year. 104-66. The bleachers didn’t stand a chance.

Evan Gallina, ’07

An inaugural member, Evan has served on the board since July 2015. He is a project manager for Gallina Development Corporation

Why he’s on the board: I wanted to join the board to stay involved in the high school that gave me the necessary tools and disciplines to become a well-rounded young professional. As a student going through McQuaid, it is challenging to understand how much the school will positively influence you, but as an adult, looking back, it is clear that McQuaid deserves much credit for the person I am today.

Favorite McQuaid memory: Both being part of the Simba Society during sporting events I attended, and getting cheered on by the Simba Society while competing during sporting events.

Tyler Strassburg, ’08

Tyler joined the board in 2016. He is a senior analyst, corporate development at Constellation Brands.

Why he’s on the board: I’m on the board to give back to our brotherhood, participate actively in the McQuaid community, and strengthen our McQuaid alumni network.

Favorite McQuaid memory: Kairos

Chris Spinelli, ’04

An inaugural member, Chris has served on the board since July 2015. He is the owner of Roc Brewing Company.

Walter Rodenhouse, ’09

Walter joined the board in 2017. He is a senior conflicts analyst at Nixon Peabody.

Why he’s on the board: I’m on the board to stay involved with McQuaid and to reconnect with my old classmates. McQuaid played a huge role in shaping me into the person I am today and being on the board allows me to give back to the school which gave so much to me.

Favorite McQuaid memory: My favorite memory is following the hockey team my senior year. We tailgated before every game and traveled across the state supporting the Knights.

Michael Rooney, ’07

Michael joined the board in 2017. He is a clerk for Hon. David G. Larimer, ’62 and Hon. Marian W. Payson of the United States District Court for the Western District of New York.

Conner Boillat, ’10

Conner joined the board in 2018 and is a Private Wealth Advisor at LVW Advisors.

Why he’s on the board: McQuaid was an integral part of my journey as a man of Christ and helped shape me into who I am today. It provided me the opportunity to get an excellent education and develop deep, long lasting relationships. I want to be able to give back to students in any way I can to provide them with the same experience I had, and encourage other alumni to join it that effort.

Favorite McQuaid memory: Being a part of the McQuaid Football organization. My teammates are still some of my best friends to this day and we have a wealth of memories to look back upon.

 

Michael Geen, ’10

Michael joined the board in 2018 and is a senior accountant at FIFCO USA

Why he’s on the board: Mcquaid afforded me so many opportunities to grow academically, socially, and spiritually. I want to be able to give back to the school that afforded me so many great experiences and help grow one of McQuaid’s strongest assets which is their alumni network.

Favorite McQuaid memory: Playing on the Football and Track teams while being coached by some fantastic men and women and playing with some amazing teammates.
