Baseball kicks off spring break with 3 back-to-back wins

The varsity baseball Knights are off to an undefeated start, winning their first 3 games in Vero Beach, FL.  The following recaps were found on Pickin’ Splinters:

Noah Campanelli finished 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI and a run scored to pace McQuaid. Ben Beauchamp was 2-for-2 with a walk, three runs scored and an RBI. Tyler Griggs tripled and scored three runs for the Jesuit Knights. Erik Johnson struck out five, walked two and allowed two runs on three hits over four innings to pick up the win.  Connor Pulli allowed a run on a walk and a hit over two innings of work out of the bullpen. AJ Fina drove in two runs and scored another. Steve Sercu also scored a run for McQuaid.

Ryan O’Mara connected on a pinch-hit single to lead the seventh and eventually scored on a passed ball as McQuaid rallied to erase a four-run deficit. Connor Pulli hurled 2.2 shutout innings in relief to pick up the win. Pulli faced 10 batters and did not allow a hit. AJ Fina finished 2-for-2 with two walks, a run scored and an RBI to lead the offense. Tommy Manno was 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored. Ben Beauchamp was 2-for-4 with a run scored for the Jesuit Knights. Noah Campanelli singled, walked, scored a run and drove in another. Tyler Griggs doubled and scored a run. Zach Lee had a single and an RBI. The game was played at Dodgertown in Vero Beach, Florida.

Hunter Walsh and Ben Hintz combined on a three-hit shutout to lead McQuaid. Walsh struck out four and walked one over six innings. Hintz retired all three batters he faced in the seventh. Ben Beauchamp finished 2-for-4 with two runs scored to lead the offense. Noah Campanelli collected a single, a walk, an RBI and two runs scored for the Jesuit Knights. Tyler Griggs tripled and had an RBI. Zach Lee was 2-for-4 with a run scored. Ryan O’Mara finished 2-for-4 with an RBI. Tommy Manno singled and scored a run. AJ Fina also crossed the plate for McQuaid (3-0). The game was played at Dodgertown in Vero Beach, Florida.
