JETS Team to Compete at Nationals

Congratulations to the McQuaid JETS team won the NYS TSA TEAMS engineering competition again this year, and has qualified for the National Competition both as NYS winner and by exceeding the minimum total score. More than 100 schools from around the country will travel to Washington, D.C. for nationals June 28-July 2.

The team, comprised of eight members, participates in the Test of Engineering Aptitude, Mathematics and Science sponsored by the Junior Engineering Technical Society. The test consists of questions representing college freshman-level engineering coursework. It offers students the opportunity to see how engineering touches numerous aspects of our lives. Students are chosen by recommendation of math and science teachers.

This year’s team is made up of juniors Taiden Foryt, Gage Gardinier, Bryce Gunderman, Joe Heinle, along with seniors Jonathan Abbott, Vincenzo Capezzuto, John Marangola, and Will Wagner.
