McQuaid Jesuit has announced the appointment of Cory Parker as its new director of enrollment management effective immediately. A 2013 McQuaid alumnus, Parker joined McQuaid’s admissions team in August 2018 as the assistant director of admissions and had served as the department’s interim co-director of admissions since April.
Installing a director of enrollment management signals a shift in what has been a traditional Admission’s Office.
“After months of research and input from professional consultants, the board of trustees, along with school leadership, decided to update the focus of our Admissions Office,” says McQuaid Jesuit President, Fr. Robert Reiser, S.J. “While at its core, the Admissions Office has and will continue to be enrolling students, it’s imperative that the office creates a synergy among marketing, recruitment, pricing and financial aid, academic affairs, and constituent relations that will improve the life of the school.”
To that end, Parker will be responsible for developing enrollment goals and related recruitment strategies; planning, managing, and executing all aspects of the admissions process; cultivating the current student body to strengthen retention numbers; and implementing strategic perspectives for maximizing financial aid while participating as a member of the Financial Aid Committee.
“It’s an exciting time in the life of the school and I am confident Cory will bring a new energy to the office as he grows in this role,” says Fr. Reiser.
Parker is a 2017 graduate of the University at Albany where he was a member of the school’s Division I football team. Prior to joining McQuaid, he worked for LiDestri Foods as a contract manufacturing manager.
