Seniors Volunteer At Emergency Homeless Shelter

Even though the school year winds down McQuaid Jesuit students are still at work in the community finding ways to be “Men for Others.” This past Saturday two McQuaid Seniors, Aidan Ruppert and Tim Stoklosa, volunteered most of their day dismantling and cleaning up the temporary homeless shelter run by REACH (Rochester Engaging in Action for the Chronically Homeless). They disassembled many of the storage containers, moved mattresses, and helped sanitize the building so it can be turned into a temporary shelter again in the winter months. All of this work goes towards helping some of the most marginalized and vulnerable members of the Rochester community.
