From the RPO Website: One of the most frequently performed choral works of the last 100 years, Orff’s Carmina Burana is based on 24 of the poems found in the medieval collection of the same title. This 20th-century choral masterpiece has been heard countless times in film, television, and even at professional sports events. To hear it performed live is to truly feel its power. Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms draws themes from 23rd psalm of the Bible, and serves as a spiritual balance to Carmina Burana.
