Swimmers fare well at NYS Championships

Congratulations to members of the varsity swim team, on their performance at the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Swimming and Diving Championships this past weekend. McQuaid re-broke the school record in the 400 free relay that was previously broken at sectional preliminaries and finals (Julian Joseph ’21, Keegan Bedford ’22, Henry Smith ’21, and Max Murray ’20). Max Murray finished 8th in the state in the 100 Backstroke, and also finished 17th in the 200 IM.  Julian Joseph finished 43rd in the 50 Free, and 54th in the 100 Butterfly. Overall, McQuaid finished as the 54th ranked team in the state. The team only has 3 records (200 Free, 200 Free Relay, 50 Free) left to set before the entire record board has been reset at McQuaid Jesuit.  Congratulations, gentlemen!
