McQuaid Jesuit High School is seeking two to four high school actresses, grades 9-12, for the cast of its fall drama production, the drama “An Enemy of the People” by Henrik Ibsen, adapted by Arthur Miller.
Auditions will be held in the Fr. Leon Hogenkamp auditorium on the campus of McQuaid Jesuit (1800 South Clinton) on Tuesday, September 15th and Wednesday, September 17th at 3:30 pm. You only need to attend ONE audition date.
Rehearsals will start Monday, Sept. 21st and be held typically after school, 3:30-5:15, M-Th, to start, with more days added in as show dates approach. There can be no schedule conflicts the week of performances. The performance dates are Nov. 18, 19, 20, and 21.

A small Norwegian town has just begun to win fame and wealth through its medicinal spring waters. Dr. Stockmann, resident physician in charge, discovers that the waters are anything but healing. The waters are poisoned. On receiving proof of this, he immediately reports to his associates, but is shocked to find that instead of being thanked, he is considered to be spreading dangerous rhetoric and lies in an effort to ruin the town.

Catherine Stockman–Dr. Stockman’s wife, loyal but not without her own mind
Petra Stockman–Dr. Stockman’s fiery daughter, ready to follow her father into battle
There are two ensemble roles available as well.
