To Our Incredible McQuaid Jesuit Community,

On behalf of McQuaid’s advancement team, I’d like to express our sincere concern for you, your families, colleagues, and friends during this time of uncertainty. We understand the significant impact the COVID-19 crisis is having on our entire community, both near and far. We have made the commitment to support the global effort to “Slow the Spread” by postponing face-to-face interactions including all scheduled events. While it is disappointing to put these interactions on hold, we need to do our part for the good of everyone.

Our leadership team has spent countless hours discussing ways we can continue supporting our mission through this uncertain time, understanding that our call to support the success of our students must continue. We also are mindful that we need to do our part to mitigate some of the financial challenges our families are facing right now. Our commitment to these goals is unwavering.

Even in these uncertain times, our fundraising efforts cannot cease. Like all organizations, we are making necessary adjustments to significantly tighten budgets and maximize outreach efforts to meet operational obligations. We look to accomplish this with utmost sensitivity, understanding other financial priorities families are facing. Taking all factors into consideration, we have adjusted our fundraising goal that needs to be realized by the end of our fiscal year. The balance needed to be raised by June 30, 2020 is $383,000. In the coming weeks, our team will be sharing the ways in which we hope to accomplish this. I feel very fortunate to be surrounded by an enthusiastic and talented advancement team who is no doubt, ready to step up and meet this challenge!

It is in times of uncertainty that we see the greatest strength within ourselves and our beloved McQuaid community. Men and women with and for others, standing together to ensure our family remains strong and intact. Our history speaks to our resilience and ability to overcome significant challenges. I have no doubt that this time will serve as another example of our perseverance.

Thank you for all you have done and will continue to do.
