The IT Help Desk provides central point of contact for IT assistance to the McQuaid Jesuit Community.
The Student-Run Technology Help Desk club was started by Jack Taylor, ’20. It has developed into a fully functioning IT Service Desk located in the Senior Hallway, Room 252.
Currently, students work daily with administration, staff, faculty, students, and parents to ensure all devices and systems within the building are operating correctly. The help desk and club is supported by IT staff. Students in the club receive customer service training, IT troubleshooting skills, and access to behind-the-scenes workings of the IT Office and how it provides support for the 2,000+ devices within the school. This is a great learning experience for any student interested in technology!
The Help Desk staff responds to communication received via phone and email ticketing system. They guide clients through troubleshooting processes, generally assist with account activation and support, password problems, e-mail access, and 1:1 iPad Program assistance. They direct inquiries to the appropriate office and delegate complex issues to other IT staff as needed.

After Hours Support
IT support is available during non-business hours for major issues associated with email, VoIP Phone system, campus area network, and server downtime. To report an issue, please create a ticket over email or call the IT Help desk phone line at 585.256.6161.
