Parents’ Association Newsletters
The Parents’ Association extends a warm welcome to all new and returning families upon the commencement of the 2020-2021 school year! While we continue to encounter challenging times amid the pandemic, the Parents’ Association remains committed to providing safe opportunities for connection, albeit in alternative formats.
Every parent and guardian is a member of the Parents’ Association and invited to partake in the diverse event offerings throughout the year. Volunteering and attending events are a great way to meet members of and strengthen ties to the McQuaid community.
A monthly newsletter, detailing happenings, is circulated via email and available on the Parents page of the McQuaid website.

The PA is proud to partner with the school to bring our parents a virtual town hall with Dr. Michael Mendoza, Monroe County Health Commissioner, Dr. David Topa, P ’21, and William Pearson, LCSW. The topic will be COVID-19 and its effects on school. The event is open to the McQuaid and Mercy communities and is a wonderful opportunity for parents to have direct access to one of our community’s leading experts on this pandemic that is currently shaping our lives. More details on how to participate and watch will be forthcoming.
PA Annual Meeting Recap
Thank you to those who attended the annual PA meeting on Wednesday September 23rd. The PA’s executive officers shared all of the wonderful programming supported by the PA including spiritual, service, recognition, social, and educational events. All are welcome to be a part of any of these events and anyone who wants to be involved is encouraged to reach out to email@example.com. For those unable to attend the meeting, click here to watch the playback.
Teacher Appreciation Event
To help kick off the year, the Parents’ Association hosted an annual teacher appreciation luncheon to welcome our teachers back after such a long absence from McQuaid. A huge shoutout and thank you to all of the parent volunteers who helped with this event, especially those who contributed delicious homemade food. It was a great way to show appreciation for all of the teachers and staff who are working during this unprecedented year to educate and support our sons.
