Bishop Kearney Award presented to Sean Murray, ’20

On Friday evening, June 26, Mr. Adam Baber, Principal, presented the Bishop Kearney Award to Sean Murray, ‘20 at Sean’s home in Henrietta. Sean will be attending the United States Military Academy at West Point, and will not be present at our rescheduled commencement exercises in August. The Bishop Kearney Award, in honor of Saint Francis Xavier, is the most prestigious award bestowed upon a member of the graduating class. Bishop Salvatore Matano, the current bishop of Rochester, would have presented the award to Sean at the commencement. Instead, he graciously wrote Sean a congratulatory note, wishing him well as Sean leaves Rochester in service of his country.
