RIP: David F. Booth, ’73

In your prayers, please remember the soul of David F. Booth, ’73.

Booth, David F.

DAVID FRANCIS BOOTH, 64, of Pompano Beach, FL passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2020, after a bicycle accident. Dave was born in Rochester, NY on September 17, 1955, to parents Anne Byrne Booth and Franklin Albert Booth. He was formerly married to and will always be loved by Gayle Booth and his stepdaughters Alyssa and Taryn Renee.

Dave graduated from McQuaid Jesuit High School in 1973 and won numerous medals as part of the swim team there. He continued his education at Monroe Community College in Rochester. Dave predominately worked in a sales capacity starting his career with Genesee Brewery where he was an account representative in Cincinnati, OH then back in NY in Binghamton and finally Brooklyn before moving to Florida.

After moving to Pompano Beach, Dave continued his sales career in the field of insurance and worked for several companies including Tower Insurance, where he was employed at the time of his passing. Dave had a passion for boating, water skiing and the water in general, which was one of the many reasons for moving to Florida. Having grown up in Upstate NY with harsh winters, Dave loved the sunshine and warmer climate. Although he always felt a strong connection with Rochester, Dave considered Pompano Beach his home. He was very active in the Broward County Republican Party and made friendships in the party across the state.

He is survived by his 3 sisters Patricia Booth Isaacson of Rockville Center, NY, Peggy Booth Grab of Charlotte, NC and Mary Booth of London, England, along with several nieces and nephews across the US. Dave’s parents both passed away in 2017.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.
May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the Mercy of God, rest in peace.
Amen
