Rochester – Patrick Shea Maloney Jr., age 45, of Rochester, NY passed away in his home on Saturday May 2, 2020.
He was born November 11, 1974 and grew up in Pittsford, NY. Patrick attended McQuaid Jesuit High School, class of 1993, where he excelled in academics and athletics. Later he obtained his bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University at Buffalo and worked on his master’s degree there as well.
Patrick had a great love for the outdoors; he loved hiking, camping, skiing, and mountain biking. He was also a movie buff and loved going to see films on the big screen whenever he had the chance, often with his father. He was an enormous help in his parents’ family business where he worked in property maintenance and upkeep.
He was beloved by his family. Friends described him as a gentle giant. He was a kind-hearted soul who especially loved dogs and young children and was an amazing uncle to his 5 nieces.
He is survived by his parents, Gretchen and Patrick Maloney, of Fairport, NY; his sister, Erin Woo, and her daughters, Emma and Julia, of Bethlehem, NH; and his sister Susan Mike, her husband Robert Mike, and their daughters, Madeline, Chloe and Caroline, of Pittsford, NY; loving aunts & uncles, many cousins, and close friends.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.
May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the Mercy of God, rest in peace.
