In your prayers, please remember the soul of Robert E. Allen, ’64.
Allen, Robert E.
Irondequoit – Robert Edward “Bob” Allen, 74, of Irondequoit NY and Greensboro, NC, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2020.
A genuinely kind and caring man, he enjoyed golf, anything and everything related to the UNC Tar Heels, the Yankees, and the Buffalo Bills. Bob was a Navy Veteran and later was employed by Gilbarco as a Quality Control Engineer for 30 years. He always had a smile on his face and could light up a room with his unforgettable Donald Duck impersonation. Bob touched many lives and leaves behind countless fond memories. Above all, he cherished spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Lyn Allen; daughters, Kathryn Allen Pavia and Meghan Allen Ivey; sister, Mary Russo; brothers, Richard Allen and John Allen; grandchildren; Evan Ivey, and Colin and Eli Pavia, and countless Irondequoit friends who will miss his genuine demeanor and humble attitude. Many a beer and toasts were had in his company and he will dearly be missed.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.
May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the Mercy of God, rest in peace.
Amen
