RIP: Thomas N. Trevett, ’60

In your prayers, please remember the soul of Thomas N. Trevett, ’60, father of Thomas Trevett Jr., ’90.

Tom served on the McQuaid Jesuit Board of Trustees from 1991-2020 as a member, chair, and honorary member.

Penfield – Loving husband, father and grandfather passed away suddenly on September 9, 2020 at the age of 78. Tom was born March 14, 1942 and raised in Rochester, graduating from McQuaid Jesuit High School. He received his bachelor’s degree from St. John Fisher College and his law degree from Albany Law School. He practiced law for more than 45 years, and was extremely engaged in the local legal, political and Catholic communities. He brought grace, decency, and integrity to all facets of life.

Predeceased by his parents, Andrea and Frank Trevett, and his brother, Robert Trevett. Tom is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Margaret Hepburn Trevett; daughters, Monica Trevett and Millicent (Steven) Bleck, MD; son, Thomas N. (Jennifer) Trevett, Jr, MD; brother, Francis (Kim) Trevett; sister, Andrea Trevett Ern; sisters-in-law, Kathleen Trevett, Donna Hepburn and Beatrice Hepburn; grandchildren, Paxton, Beckham and Brooks Trevett and Steven and Hope Bleck; many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Tom’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, September 14, 2020, 1 PM at St. Joseph’s Church, 43 Gebhardt Road, Penfield. Following Mass, Tom’s family will greet friends and relatives in front of church for a socially-distanced receiving line. A Celebration of Tom’s Life will be held once it is safe to do so in a fashion that he would have enjoyed. In lieu of flowers, exercise your right to vote!
