The volleyball Knights cruised to a 3-0 victory over Monroe in the opening round of the Section V Class A volleyball tournament on Monday night on the campus of McQuaid Jesuit. Jay Smith had 22 kills and 10 digs, while Kyle Moyer had 8 digs and 6 assists, and Elijah Grant added 5 kills, 5 assists, 5 digs, and 3 blocks. The team remains undefeated at 13-0, and faces Rush Henrietta at home for the semifinal round on Thursday, April 29 at 6:00 p.m. Spectators are limited to families of players that hold a pass.
