It was a wet, but upbeat start to the school year this morning as McQuaid Jesuit welcomed students back for opening day on September 7. More than 740 young men are enrolled, including the sixth grade, the Class of 2030. As an added bonus Channel Eight was on hand doing live shots with Interim Principal John Serafine for its morning show and there was also a new guest on campus, McQuaid unveiled a new mascot! He still doesn’t have a name but the student body will be holding a contest to come up with a fitting monicker for this noble Knight!
