McQuaid Jesuit has earned Platinum recognition from the College Board, the highest status awarded, based on Advanced Placement test results for the class of 2023. To reach this level a school must meet or exceed the criteria in three categories:
* at least 80% of the class experience one AP class. McQuaid had 81%.
* at least 50% of the class earns a 3 or better on an AP exam. McQuaid had 62%.
* at least 15% of the class takes a total of 5 AP classes while in high school, at least one taken in 9th or 10th grade. McQuaid had 39%.
“As a school, we are extremely proud to earn this distinction,” said Interim Principal John Serafine. “It’s a testament to the academic expectations we have at McQuaid and how our students consistently work hard to meet them.”
